Dignity Seniors Society was granted CRA Registered Charity Status in September 2025 and is now able to issue a receipt for tax deductions through CanadaHelps

We are a volunteer, equity-led charity and we are very careful in how we spend your money; for example, we are a virtual organization thus avoiding thousands of dollars in renting office space. The majority of our donations go directly to serving and supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ older adults and the volunteers who work with them.

Many 2SLGBTQIA+ seniors fear discrimination in care facilities and healthcare services or lack family support due to rejection. Our work ensures they can access affirming services and age with dignity. Every donation supports our volunteer-led efforts to build a province where all seniors, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, receive the respectful, culturally appropriate care they deserve.

2SLGBTQIA+ seniors who fought for equality their whole lives deserve to age with dignity. Dignity Seniors Society is working hard supporting and advocating for affirming elder care.
