The In Our Day Collective showcases the lives, stories, and lived experiences of older 2SLGBTQIA+ people.
By sharing and honoring our collective Queer heritage (our losses and our resilience), we learn from the past, unleash our knowledge, and remember for the future.

Walking Through Pride: A Historical Tour of Vancouver’s 2SLGBTQIA+ Movement 🏳️🌈
Discover Vancouver’s 2SLGBTQIA+ history on foot in this guided Pride heritage walk through the city’s iconic queer landmarks.

Join the Canadian Pride Historical Society for a free guided historical walking tour exploring key sites in Vancouver’s West End that shaped the history of the Pride movement in British Columbia.
This 45-minute walking tour will take you through some of the most iconic and meaningful 2SLGBTQIA+ landmarks in the city. From community organizing spaces to memorials of resistance and remembrance, we’ll explore how local activism shaped the Pride movement in Vancouver and across the province.
Tour Stops Include:
Qmunity: BC’s queer resource centre
Jim Deva Plaza & Rainbow Crosswalk: honoring a champion of free expression
Little Sister’s Book & Art Emporium: a cornerstone of queer resistance
Vancouver AIDS Memorial: a space for reflection & remembrance
👟 What to Bring: Comfortable walking shoes, water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing
